Since we installed our calving & lambing cameras, we have found them really useful helping to improve not only animal welfare but OUR welfare as well! We no longer have to get ourselves out at all times of night but can head over if we are needed. Our stock man and my son do not live at the farm, but they are able to help me check on the animals through the night, so we all share the burden. The cameras have helped us spot calves born with membranes over their face & breach births and we have been able to save lots of animals. In nearly 40 years of breeding Limousin’s and Texels I can honestly say it’s the best bit of equipment we have bought for that side of our farming.
