We installed a Farmer’s Eye Calving Camera system two ’seasons’ ago. The installation went smoothly, and the guys went out of their way to make sure that we got what we wanted. The cameras themselves have resulted in a big increase in the health of our cows and calves. We can now monitor them much more closely and this means that we know exactly when the cows start calving giving us much more confidence to leave nature to do its thing and have therefore pulled far fewer calves. This year the calves have been having a drink much sooner and the cow has recovered much more quickly. We have also saved at least one calf born with the membrane over its face. The cameras have proven to be a cracking bit of kit!! Thanks!
